Lead Internal Auditor Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned internal auditor to lead our assurance and advisory services function within the Corporate Affairs Division. As Lead Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for delivering an independent and objective internal audit program that enhances governance, accountability, and performance across our organisation.
The role involves:
* Contribute to strategic planning, reviews, and risk/compliance activities
* Ensure audits comply with standards, ethics, legislation, and frameworks
* Maintain independence, reporting to Audit and Risk Committee and Executive Director
* Lead and review the three-year Strategic and Annual Internal Audit Plans
To be successful in this position, you will require:
* Tertiary qualification in accounting, auditing, commerce, business, or a related field
* Membership (or eligibility for membership) with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ, or equivalent professional body
* Demonstrated experience in leading internal audit functions within large, complex organisations, preferably in the public or health sector
* Detailed knowledge of internal audit standards, ethical codes, risk management frameworks, and relevant legislation
