Responsibilities:
Lead and Conduct Tours: Guide visitors through Australia, providing engaging and informative commentary on the region's history, geology, and wildlife.
Ensure Safety: Prioritize the safety of tour participants by adhering to all safety guidelines and emergency procedures. Maintain first aid certification.
Knowledge Sharing: Share your passion for the Outback by delivering interesting and educational presentations to groups of varying sizes.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that all tour participants have a positive and memorable experience.
Equipment Management: Oversee the proper care and maintenance of tour equipment, including vehicles and communication devices.
Problem-Solving: Effectively handle unexpected situations, such as weather changes or vehicle issues, with professionalism and calmness.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience as a tour guide, especially in remote or wilderness areas, is highly desirable.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Regional Australia, including its geography, history, flora, and fauna.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and captivate diverse audiences.
Customer Focus: A passion for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
First Aid Certification: Current first aid certification is mandatory. (Or achieve prior to start).
Driving Skills: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience driving large coaches is a plus.
Physical Fitness: The role involves outdoor activities and some physical exertion, so candidates should be in good physical condition.

There are two available regions of operation dependent on knowledge and experience;
1. WA/NT - Perth to Broome - Broome to Darwin
2. Inland ES - Lake Eyre - Burke & Wills Route - Cairns to Adelaide
Our passengers are mainly Australian adults from years old. Each tour is run by 2 Staff caring for up to 40 passengers. It is essential that staff cooperate well and work closely together.
This is an interesting, exciting, varied and extremely rewarding role. It's an enjoyable lifestyle with its share of hard days but also has a lot of fun easy days in some stunning locations.
For the right applicant the role is a ongoing position. Work is on a tour by tour basis, scheduling is roughly two weeks on and one off but varies.
