Retail Business Solutions is looking for a part-time Finance Manager to manage multiple clients.

You will be working in the exciting field of independent supermarkets and similar retail businesses. The Finance Manager will need to work closely with the business leaders to develop and manage the finance functions of this fast-growing organisation.

The role is for 28 hours, Monday-Thursday with flexible working hours. With the opportunity for full time as the business grows.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial aspects of our clients businesses from budgets and forecasting to the day-to-day accounting processes.

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

* Working with the existing accounts team.
* Take responsibility for statutory accounting and compliance.
* Identify areas for financial/operational process improvement and implement key changes to improve efficiencies and accuracy.
* Provide oversight of the accounting team that are responsible for month-end accounting procedures for the account results, including P&L activity, balance sheet activity and Payroll.
* Support management providing recommendations for improvements and actioning on team members development opportunities.
* Preparation & lodgement of tax compliance (BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, statutory returns, etc.)
* Liaising with external stakeholders including tax accountants, banks, auditors, suppliers, insurers, etc.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
* Preparing and analysing budget and cash flow projections
* Monitoring debtors and creditors across multiple businesses
* Other ad-hoc duties as required

The successful applicant will be able to:

* Attend weekly management team meetings and present financial results
* Be proficient in summarising budget trends, analysing deficiencies and reporting variances to management
* Manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Be proficient in establishing and managing accounting software and controls
* Have experience and working knowledge of Xero accounting software.
* Have a High level of computer literacy with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Workspace programs (Docs, Sheets, etc).

Experience in the supermarket industry is favourable but not essential - you are encouraged to apply if you feel you meet the key requirements of this role.
