This is for a Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time or Fixed Term Part Time appointment at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our Maternity and Newborn Ward at Albany Health Campus. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of nursing practice and monitoring the care of our clients and patients in a collaborative environment. You will manage resources effectively and ensure the provision of safe, cost-effective care that aligns with our mission to deliver exceptional health services to our community.

Key Responsibilities


* Provide clinical leadership, expertise, and consultancy to nursing, medical, and allied health professionals within the Maternity & Newborn nursing domains.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing practice standards while promoting collaborative care amongst multidisciplinary teams.
* Coordinate quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and ensure a customer-focused service delivery.
* Oversee the efficient utilisation of human, financial, and material resources, maintaining accountability for budget management and cost control strategies.
* Foster positive relationships with clients, peers, and healthcare team members, ensuring culturally appropriate care for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Ideal Candidate
* Registered Nurse with extensive experience in Maternity and Newborn care.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide nursing teams.
* Strong managerial capabilities, including experience in resource management, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective negotiation and conflict resolution.
* Knowledge of quality improvement practices and risk management in patient care delivery.
* Familiarity with legislative and regulatory requirements impacting healthcare service delivery.
* Proficient in data management and health information systems.
