Job Title: Front End Assistant
Packing orders efficiently into boxes and transferring them to a separate cart or flatbed after scanning is crucial. Ensuring timely item retrieval maintains productivity and minimizes delays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet customers, assist with loading merchandise on the conveyor belt, inquire about packing preferences, respond to questions, communicate special promotions, and thank customers.
* Transfer non-belt items to a separate cart or flatbed while cashier scans, placing barcodes up when possible. Assist supervisor verification for high-ticket, Bottom of Basket, or non-transfer items. Pack orders into boxes and load them onto a separate cart or flatbed.
* Retrieve items like boxes, register supplies, and merchandise requested by customers to maintain a smooth workflow.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the register and general Front End area, reporting spills and trip hazards immediately.
* Operate equipment such as carts, flatbeds, large wheeled bins, clasping cart ropes, rolling mop bucket with wringer, mop, broom, click counter, 2-way radio, pallet jack, trash compactor, cardboard baler as needed.
Requirements:
* Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Cash handling (preferred).
* Basic math skills.
* COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate.
