[LOCATION] – Join 10 News and be at the forefront of a national news brand, working across a powerful multi-platform network.
In this dynamic, fast-moving team, you will chase leads, uncover facts, and produce compelling, high-impact television news stories that shape public discourse.
Functions
Pitch, research, and produce original, high-quality sports and news stories for broadcast.
Work under tight deadlines to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging TV news content.
Report live with confidence on breaking stories.
Proactively source stories, ensuring comprehensive and dynamic coverage.
Cover other newsroom roles as required.
Requirements
Strong news judgment and an understanding of the TV news landscape.
In-depth knowledge of local, national, and international sport.
Exceptional communication skills – both on-air and behind the scenes.
Highly motivated to cultivate contacts and not afraid to pick up the phone.
Ability to work under pressure.
Understanding of editing and openness to editing stories.
Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends, to meet newsroom demands.
Strong grasp of media law and its application in news reporting.
