Gippsland Local Health Service Network is looking for Regional Manager - Performance & Improvement to join our growing team on a part-time (0.8EFT) fixed term (1-year) basis.
The Regional Manager - Performance & Improvement is a senior leadership role responsible for driving regional performance, improvement capability and delivery of GLHSN priorities. The position provides strategic oversight of regional programs and projects, ensuring effective project execution, reporting, and achievement of Department-set targets. Working closely with the Executive Director, health service leaders, government agencies and partner organisations, the role strengthens regional collaboration to ensure communities across Gippsland receive safe, sustainable and high-quality care.

The role of the Regional Manager - Performance & Improvement is to:
* Lead and coordinate programs of work across health services, ensuring effective project monitoring, evaluation, stakeholder engagement and delivery of GLHSN annual workplace commitments.
* Oversee performance reporting, data analysis and benchmarking to support evidence-based improvement across regional projects and initiatives.
* Provide leadership, direction and operational management to GLHSN program leads and staff, fostering teamwork, capability development and alignment to strategic priorities.
* Build and maintain strategic partnerships with public and private hospitals, the Department of Health, Safer Care Victoria and other system partners to progress shared regional priorities.
* Drive quality improvement and change initiatives, supporting teams through ambiguity and using improvement methodologies to embed consistent, consumer-centred practice.
* Ensure timely completion of program deliverables, prepare regular progress reports, identify risks and escalate issues to the GLHSN Executive Director.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
* A tertiary qualification in a health-related field, with strong knowledge of project management, improvement methodologies and program strategy development.
* Significant leadership and operational management experience within a complex healthcare setting, with the ability to guide high-performing teams.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence, collaborate and articulate complex concepts clearly.
* Proven ability to lead multi-organisational projects, manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in dynamic environment.
* Deep understanding of health funding, regulatory requirements and policy environments relevant to Victorian public health services.
* Excellent time management, adaptability and an ability to deliver multiple projects in a dynamic and evolving environment.
