The Company This Multinational Wholesale and Services business based in the South East suburbs of Melbourne has been experiencing double digit growth over the last 5 years. The role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will become part of a high performing full function Credit team. You will be responsible for the collection of overdue accounts via outbound collection calls to trade customers. The role will be comprised of; Duties Invoicing/Receipting Managing large number of accounts Creating new accounts Ascertaining credit viability of customers Collections Managing large ledger Banking/allocations Bank reconciliations Credit queries Stop supply Weekly credit reporting to management Raising credit notes/returns Liaising with other departments re credit claims Other ad hoc duties as required Skills & experience The successful candidate will have a proven collections ability and maintain a minimum of 5 years in a full function Credit Control position, preferably within the trade/wholesaling industries. However, applicants with a proven business to business collections ability from other industries are also encouraged to apply. You will maintain excellent verbal/written communications skills and be a proven self-starter with a natural ability to build relationships internally (sales teams) and externally. You will also be resilient and able to multitask and manage a high-volume workload A key component of this role will be raising the profile of the credit team within the business.
