**Job Summary**
We are seeking an Experienced Clinical Director to provide high-level strategic leadership in the Women's and Children's Department of Health across the North West Tasmanian Region.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring resources are efficiently utilized, services are effectively integrated within the hospital/service, and the highest standards of service delivery are achieved in accordance with hospital/service policy directions, service standards, and financial targets.
In addition to providing direct clinical care, the successful candidate will lead a team of medical professionals to drive improvements in healthcare delivery.
This is a fixed-term, full-time position working up to 76 hours per fortnight, primarily during the day (with on-call duties) commencing as soon as possible for a three-year period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-level strategic leadership and direction in the Women's and Children's Department of Health.
* Ensure resources are efficiently utilized and services are effectively integrated within the hospital/service.
* Lead a team of medical professionals to drive improvements in healthcare delivery.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high standards of service delivery.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve financial targets and service standards.
Requirements:
* Skilled and motivated medical professional with a passion for improving healthcare delivery.
* Obstetricians and Gynaecologists with solid generalist O&G skills or Paediatricians with exposure to rural and community paediatrics.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team to drive change and improvement.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
