Currently partnered with government and private sector clients in the Geelong region, Randstad is seeking an experienced Accountant with the opportunity for growth within a national FMCG company in the Geelong region.
Your new role:
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
Employment Type: Full-time ongoing
Location: Geelong region - On-site
Experience: Minimum 2 years
Responsibilities include:
* Manage monthly CAPEX and Fixed Asset accounting.
* Coordinate with the Financial Controller for asset financing.
* Handle month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Assist with Accounts Payable & Receivable.
* Oversee bulk and finished goods inventory.
* Reconcile intercompany loans.
* Administer staff reimbursement processes.
* Perform daily bank reconciliations.
* Support BAS and FBT preparation.
* Contribute to monthly management accounts.
* Maintain Jet and Power BI reports.
* Collaborate production site.
* Undertake ad-hoc special projects.
What you’ll need to succeed:
* Degree in Accounting or a related field.
* Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Experience with accounting software preferred.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Proactive and adaptable attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
* CA/CPA certification desired but not required.
Client can assist the successful candidate in working towards CPA qualification.
