Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Branch Supervisor the Trade Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting our Trades Team with the completion of general or reactive maintenance across contracts facilities and dwellings.
Duties include supporting :
Completion of any general maintenance and installation of cabinets doors frameworks floors or other wooden fixtures used in buildings
Installation repair and general maintenance of pipes valves fittings and drainage systems
Installation repair and general maintenance of lighting fixtures switches and switchboards including general roughing in / out
Use hand tools machines or power saws as required
Follow safety data sheets for cleaning chemicals
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment
About You
To join our team you will be an experienced Tradesperson who has experience in a domestic or commercial environment has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise. Additionally you will provide first-class customer service whilst maintaining a commitment to the safety of yourself and others at all times.
Additionally you will possess :
Experienced working on major commercial or industrial works (desirable) including exposure to Carpentry Electrical and Plumbing related work tasks
Construction White Card ( mandatory )
HRWL (LF) License ( desirable )
VALID C Class( mandatory )
Australian Working Rights
Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
Current satisfactory National Police Check ( within 6 months )
First Aid training and Trade based competencies ( desirable )
Additionally you will also possess the following skills :
Systems and Technology experience i.e. MS Office online / web-based Workorder Management Software (Loc8) and Safety Payroll & Training requirements
Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions.
Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace with excellent customer service skills.
Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others at all times.
