2026 Australian Government Apprenticeship Program

\

The 2026 Australian Government Apprenticeship Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to provide everyday Australians with the opportunity to bring their diverse work and life experience to the Australian Public Service (APS). The program aims to diversify the APS by offering broader eligibility with no pre-requisite qualifications.

\

This 12-month program offers participants a learning and development pathway, expanding their personal and professional capabilities, all while building confidence in a career with the APS. Participants are supported every step of the way, with opportunities to learn and grow on the job.

\

Coordinated by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, a single application enables participants to be considered for apprenticeship roles across the APS.

\

Duties And Responsibilities:

To be eligible for the program, you must be an Australian citizen, willing to undergo any police, character, health or other checks as required, able to obtain and maintain a valid Australian Government Security clearance, and prepared to study a comprehensive Learning and Development Program.
