Contract Specialist Location: Chinchilla, QLDRoster: 2:1Contract: 12 Months with potential to extendWe are seeking a skilled Contract Administrator for an exciting opportunity based in Chinchilla, QLD.
This is a site-based role available as either residential or DIDO.
About the Role In this dynamic and hands-on role, you'll support the full lifecycle of contracts across a key operational site.
Working closely with the Contract Manager and broader procurement teams, you'll ensure that sourcing and contract strategies are executed to the highest standard, aligned with both company goals and industry compliance.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with category strategies and site needs.
Assist in executing strategic sourcing strategies, adhering to the company's playbook.
Act as a trusted liaison with internal stakeholders to support transparency and satisfaction.
Build and maintain effective supplier relationships, ensuring high performance, contract compliance, and issue resolution.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal, environmental, and safety standards.
Regularly report on contract status, compliance, risks, and performance to stakeholders and management.
What You'll Bring A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Law, or a related discipline (C.P.M.
or C.P.S.M.
preferred).
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities in contract management.
Demonstrated experience in sourcing and managing contracts for services and goods in industries such as Mining, Energy, Construction, Oil & Gas, or Engineering.
Proficiency in SAP, Ariba and Microsoft Office or similar tools.
Excellent understanding of legal principles, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation in contracting environments.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Technical Skills Required Strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and administration.
Familiarity with supplier performance evaluation and KPI management.
Expertise in eProcurement platforms and contract lifecycle management systems.
Attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and multitasking skills in a compliance-driven environment.
