Head of Department – Student Engagement
The Northern Peninsula Area State College – Bamaga Senior Campus seeks a qualified teacher for a temporary Head of Department role. The successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Campus and report to the College Principal or delegate.
Location: Bamaga, Northern Peninsula Area, Queensland. Working in a culturally rich remote community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative student engagement measures.
* Prepare data returns for senior management as requested.
* Monitor individual student performance and behaviour; develop and implement intervention strategies.
* Communicate and collaborate with parents, higher education institutes and State Schools Division to improve learning outcomes, student achievements and attendance.
The role incorporates a notional teaching load to be negotiated.
