The Opportunity
We are seeking a competent, reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our expanding team, based in Naval Base, WA.
You will be required to work well within a team environment as well as autonomously completing assigned work scopes.
Your Skills and Qualifications
You would be expected to:
- Be experienced with drilling reaming and bearing surface scraping.
- Be experienced in alignment of drive shafts, bearings, pulleys, drive chains, gear boxes etc.
- Read and interpret drawings of various detail.
- Be willing to assist in apprentice training and supervision as required.
- Be a confident tradesperson with a positive understanding of industry requirements.
- Have an excellent understanding of general machining practices
- Own transport and hold a current C Class WA driver's license.
