Job Summary
Principal ServiceNow Software Engineer (Developer) – Multiple Roles – Australian Federal Police.
Key Responsibilities
* Custom portal development with UI Builder or React framework, ensuring secure integration with ServiceNow APIs and government data models.
* Perform advanced customisations including Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Script Includes, Client Scripts, workflows, custom tables and reports.
* Integration and ServiceNow scripting (Glide, JavaScript, Ajax, XML, JSON, HTML and CSS).
* Advanced workflow development and customisation.
* Advanced Playbook development.
* Advanced CSM development and customisation.
* Escalate issues and risks within the team structure.
* Respond to reported problems, performing fault diagnosis, analysis and rectification tasks.
* Provide or assist in the analysis of enhancements as requested by business areas.
* Support, design, configure, test and implement ServiceNow functions and methods.
* Assist in the development and documentation of test plans and user documentation.
* Record and maintain files/information in accordance with AFP requirements.
* Work in an Agile team environment with a variety of stakeholders.
* Maintain currency in information technology processes and technical knowledge through ongoing professional development.
* Establish and maintain effective business relationships and professional networks.
* Contribute to and implement improved ICT practices and procedures.
* Work effectively in a small team environment and wider command environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
Experience Level: Principal – E2 equivalent under APS JFF.
* Consultancy, emerging technology monitoring, methods and tools, programming/software development, release and deployment, software design, specialist advice, systems design, systems development management, and systems integration and build – all at level 6.
High level of experience in ServiceNow development, including components such as CMS and UI Builder.
Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Maximum hours: 71⁄2 hours per day.
Working Arrangement
Hybrid: Primary office in Canberra, with remote work from alternate locations, including work from home, considered at the sole discretion of the Buyer.
