What you will do as the Director, IT Strategy & Architecture
The Information Management and Technology Services (IMTS) Branch plays a pivotal role in contributing to ACCC/AER outcomes.
The IMTS Branch Expertly Delivers Easy To Use And Reliable Technology Solutions That Help ACCC And AER Business Teams In Meeting Their Objectives. The Key Priorities For The Branch Are To
* Utilise technology so our agency can protect consumers and promote competition across Australia's economy.
* Launch technologies that solve critical business issues and create new regulatory capabilities.
* Use and manage agency data assets that drive responsive and effective regulatory outcomes.
* Provide consistent, reliable, and secure ongoing IT services to the whole agency, including support of hybrid and flexible work.
* Foster a diverse and high‐performing workforce underpinned by collaborative and flexible ways of working.
* IMTS is responsible for some of the agency's most critical ICT programs, including developing the technology behind Australia's first National Anti‐Scams Centre and the Australian Government's new merger regime, the largest change to Australia's mergers regime since the establishment of the Trade Practices Act 50 years ago.
The Director, IT Strategy and Architecture reports to the Executive Director, Technology Delivery and works in strong collaboration with the IMTS Directors. This role is pivotal to the IMTS branch and includes a strategic and delivery focus on all aspects of the department's IT environment, including both Microsoft cloud technologies and on premises systems requiring critical thinking to resolve complex operational issues.
As The Director, IT Strategy And Architecture, You Will
* Lead a team of professionals, role modelling our leadership behaviours, supporting a professional and collaborative working environment, coaching, giving continuous feedback, resolving conflict and facilitating career development.
* Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled professionals to develop and sustain ACCC's architecture and infrastructure ecosystem.
* Define current state, transition states and target state solution architectures for projects and current business problems that align with organisational strategies.
* Provide design leadership through:
o Clear and demonstrable understanding of business, data, application and technology domains.
o Designing for reuse.
o Ensuring the resulting design is implementable and within the risk parameters of the business owner.
o Ensuring security compliance.
o Preparation of design options where there are multiple solutions available.
o Guiding the uplift of the current environment.
o Provide overall technical leadership to project teams in terms of the end‐to‐end solution, ensuring all facets of the designs and technologies are integrated.
o Actively engage with project teams to ensure compliance with architecture.
About You

This Role In Particular Requires
* Extensive demonstrated technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years of experience in designing, building, and deploying enterprise solutions in complex cloud and on‐premise environments.
* Demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams, and the proven ability to inspire and motivate others, through effective interpersonal relationships.
* Experience in successfully delivering significant organisational change that require initiative and dealing with uncertainty.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external customer and stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
* Experience in designing, deploying and managing cloud solutions, with familiarity in Azure and other Microsoft cloud offerings.
* Clear, concise and articulate oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate.
* High level of initiative and problem‐solving skills with the ability to follow through with required actions, resilience, self‐awareness and a commitment to personal development.
* Relevant industry certifications.
The Following Job Specific Criteria Are Also Highly Desirable
* Experience in highly regulated sectors and Government environments.

Salary: $148,287 - $173,778 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
