SLS requires a Laboratory Technician to join our Melbourne (Williamstown North) NATA accredited Chemical Testing Laboratory to perform testing on soil, water, and air samples in a fast-paced laboratory.
We are looking for a technically oriented person with great attention to detail with at least 2 years' experience working in a laboratory setting.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Weighing and preparation of samples
* Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with ISO 17025
* Contribution to the laboratory quality control and quality assurance systems
* Reporting stock levels of consumables, standards, chemicals etc
Skills and experience that are required:
* Ability to work in team or independently
* Ability to reason and interpret with good attention to detail and clear record keeping
* Intermediate or higher in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Must be Australian Citizen or Permanent resident
