THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dispatch Supervisor to join our team at ITM – Stapylton.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all outbound warehouse operations, ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, efficiently, and on time.
You will play a critical role in managing workflow, supporting the warehouse team, and maintaining high standards across dispatch, freight, and inventory coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Outbound Operations & Workflow Management
* Oversee daily picking, packing and dispatch activities
* Manage workflow priorities to ensure all orders meet carrier cut-off times
* Monitor and resolve bottlenecks, delays or system issues
* Allocate labour across dispatch functions based on workload
Picking & Packing Oversight
* Ensure high levels of picking accuracy and process compliance
* Support team members in resolving stock or system discrepancies
* Oversee packing quality, ensuring correct items, quantities and documentation
* Supervise handling of fragile, high-value and oversized freight
Freight & Dispatch Coordination
* Ensure correct freight methods, labelling and carrier allocation
* Coordinate daily carrier pickups and manage dispatch schedules
* Finalise manifests and verify all freight is loaded accurately
* Maintain organised and compliant staging and dispatch areas
Quality Control & Continuous Improvement
* Investigate dispatch errors (mispicks, incorrect freight, etc.)
* Identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Recommend improvements to warehouse layout, processes and efficiency
* Communicate operational risks and issues to management
Hands-On Warehouse Support
* Assist with picking, packing, staging and loading when required
* Support general warehouse duties and manual handling tasks
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
Team Collaboration
* Work closely with Inventory and Operations teams
* Provide guidance, training and support to warehouse staff
* Participate in daily operational briefings and planning
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role
* Strong understanding of dispatch, freight and warehouse processes
* Proven ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment
* High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
* Good communication and organisational skills
Essential Requirements:
* Current Forklift Licence
* Previous warehousing and dispatch experience
* Physically capable of manual handling tasks
HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
