About the Position
We are seeking a passionate and driven Chief Sonographer to lead our dedicated team of Sonographers in the Central West region. The region encompasses our practices in Dubbo, Orange and Bathurst. You will provide leadership, management and ensure that we maintain a high quality, efficient imaging service. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a leader within PRP Diagnostic Imaging in one of our busiest regions. You will actively manage patients within the region and developing strong relationships with our Doctors, practice leaders and the broader technical teams to ensure that practices run smoothly to maximise bookings and revenue. You will assist with referrer enquiries and identify opportunities to improve processes and act as the escalation point for issues. PRP is a rapidly growing organisation which will give you opportunities to grow and develop your leadership skills in the future. Directing and managing team development, the successful training of Trainee Sonographers and driving regular CPD training.
Coordinating and formulating rostering of staff, including leave
Aligning the workflow and management of each practice in collaboration with Managing Radiologists, Operations Manager, Chief Radiographers and Office Managers
Recruiting and onboarding of new staff members
Managing employee and patient wellbeing, ensuring a safe and injury free environment
Ensuring quality control is maintained in accordance with accreditation
Maintaining practice profitability by applying effective rostering, maximising utilisation of modalities and managing stock, equipment, waiting lists.
About You
This position presents a great opportunity to broaden both your technical and soft skills, whilst providing professional and patient focused diagnostic imaging. We are seeking someone who has:
The ability to lead and manage a large team of Sonographers and be a mentor to Trainee Sonographers.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, Doctors, referrers and other managers.
A strong work ethic is self-motivated and can adapt and respond to change.
Initiative, sound problem solving skills and the ability to resolve conflict.
Demonstrated understanding of WH&S practices.
