You'll lead team rostering, planning, and leave coverage to ensure smooth daily operations.
You'll also play an active part in recruiting, inducting, and training new Youth and Peer Workers, empowering them to confidently support young people facing complex mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD) challenges.
You will also provide support and guidance to your team on client safety and complex issues.Skills and Experiences:What You Will BringYou will bring your passionate and resilient nature and a drive to deliver quality supports to young people.To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:Diploma level qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or other related fieldExperience in case management and well-developed assessment skills with young people experiencing mental health and AOD challengesProven leadership experience, including staff recruitment, training, induction, and rostering.Ability to provide practical and emotional support in relation to mentoring and informal counselling, development of independent living skills, opportunities to improve social and community participation, learning, volunteering and employmentExperience working with young people in a person-centred, trauma informed, strengths based, child safe, youth-friendly, inclusive and evidence-based mannerGood interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skillsThe successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.
You must also have access to a reliable and safe vehicle as you will be expected to drive to see clients across Perth metro (mileage reimbursement will apply).
