Overview
We are looking for experienced chefs and cooks for our client in Mount Isa, QLD. The positions are full time, $70k-$80K a year salary + Super depending on the experience and the position.
Responsibilities
Ensure food preparation and quality is of the highest standard possible
Manage stock levels and follow company procedures and recipe guide lines
Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen during and after service
Assist the head chef in cost control and assist in ensuring budgeted profit and targets are met
Able to work unsupervised and harmoniously with the rest of the brigade
Qualifications
At least 1-Year of relevant employment experience is required in prep and a la carte essential (Lunch & Dinner)
Appropriate trade qualifications
Experience in fast paced, service and quality focused venues
Guest orientated and passionate about food
Sound knowledge of food hygiene practices
The ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail
Excellent interpersonal skills, relatively valuable English communication skills
Happy to work split shifts
Possess a positive attitude and work well as a part of the team
