Ardent is seeking a confident and proactive Senior PR Account Manager to join our growing team in North Sydney.
This role is suited to someone with 3–5 years of PR agency experience who can lead client accounts, develop strong story angles, build media relationships quickly, and secure meaningful coverage. You will be hands‐on across strategy, media relations, pitching, writing and day‐to‐day account management.
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and add value from day one. You will be a self‐starter with strong PR instincts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast‐paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day‐to‐day management of PR accounts
* Develop and execute PR strategies that support client goals
* Identify strong story angles, media opportunities and timely hooks
* Write press releases, media pitches, briefing documents and other PR materials
* Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers, influencers and stakeholders
* Secure earned media opportunities for clients through proactive pitching
* Manage media monitoring, WIP reporting, interview coordination and spokesperson briefings
* Analyse media coverage and recommend improvements where needed
* Work closely with internal strategy, communications and creative teams on integrated campaign activity
* Stay up to date with industry trends, media opportunities and digital PR developments
About You
* 3–5 years of PR experience, ideally in an agency environment
* Proven experience managing client accounts and delivering PR outcomes
* Strong media relations and pitching skills
* Excellent storytelling ability and strong news sense
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* Confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines
* Self‐motivated, energetic and proactive
* Existing journalist and media contacts highly regarded
* Experience in the not-for-profit sector highly valued
* Experience in Digital PR is desirable but not essential
* Relevant degree in PR, Communications, Journalism or similar preferred
