About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Painter who can deliver high-standard painting and finishing work across a variety of residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail, sound technical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling, and repairing imperfections.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colours to achieve required finishes and ensure consistent application.
• Protect surrounding areas using drop sheets, masking, and other protective materials.
• Repair cracks, holes, and other surface defects prior to painting.
• Ensure all work complies with workplace safety standards and quality requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Work collaboratively with team members and adhere to project schedules and timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Painter.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation methods.
• Ability to read and follow job specifications and instructions accurately.
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safe work practices.
