Job Title: Senior Sustainability Consultant
Location: Sydney, NSW
Role: Full time - Hybrid flexibility
ACRWORLD have partnered with a leading in-house manufacturing company in Sydney, dedicated to driving sustainability initiatives across its operations. As part of their ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation.
As a result of successful growth, they are seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to play a key role in driving environmental and social sustainability initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, as well as operation teams to develop and implement sustainable practices that reduce the company's environmental emissions.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the development, management, and enhancement of environmental reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and GHG protocols. Ensure the accuracy of sustainability data and effectively manage audits within established deadlines.
* Support the businesses emissions reduction strategy, whilst collaborating and engaging with suppliers.
* Lead the organisations modern slavery initiatives.
* Work towards their waste diversion targets, ensuring continuous improvement in waste management and sustainability efforts.
* Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging regulations, and global sustainability standards.
* Manage partner relationships and communicate progress through presentations, reports, and strategic meetings.
About You
* A proven track record in sustainability consulting or in an inhouse organisation.
* In-depth knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks i.e APCO, NGERS, SBTi, Modern Slavery.
* Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in environmental strategies, climate action across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and circular economy principles.
* Prior experience in implementing modern slavery action plans.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Sustainability is desirable.
