The Role:
This critical role for a Boning Room Manager is responsible for delivering high quality product in line with business and customer needs. With targets for safety, quality, cost, reliability and efficiency, you'll lead your beef boning room teams across the day and afternoon shifts by using lean manufacturing tools, striving for best practice and continuous improvement.
Maintain all regulatory and mandatory processes within the Boning Room.
Ensure the Boning Room produce to production orders as specified.
Coordinate teams to get the best work outcome.
Continually train and upskill a diverse production team of 130 people across both day and afternoon shifts.
Use your prior primary processing experience to ensure the highest possible yields are recovered.
Liaise with DAF, AUS-MEAT, Auditors and the likes.
The Candidate:
Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role within a beef primary processing environment.
The ability to train and mentor production teams and shift supervisors.
Cost management and staffing.
Understanding and previous experience with production processes and flows.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building capabilities.
Knowledge of Safety and OH&S.
Knowledge in HACCP, GMP & QA procedures.
Excellent problem solving and process improvement skills.
The Offer:
$120,000 starting salary depending on level of experience and capabilities. With superannuation on top. A relocation package is on offer for the right candidate if relocating from out of town.
This is a full time permanent role that will provide you with paid sick and annual leave and see you managing teams of up to 130 employees.
