**Your responsibilities**
- Create and maintain a system to manage achieved items
- Advance new methods for classification across physical and digital items
- Determine best practice preservation methods
- Create and maintain the archival database
- Restore damaged or corrupt archives
- Research and evaluate the significance of footage and items
- Implement archive processes and procedures
- Prepare business cases for management for archive requirements
- Manage security processes
- Continually assess IT and digital methodologies to maintain archival practice relevance

Request for footage comes from all avenues including media, marketing and the Executive and your ability to respond quickly through your organisation and effective management of the archived items will be a lasting legacy of your work. The ideal background for this position may be Librarian, Preservations Manager or Archivist etc. Prior experience working with highly sensitive material and records will be highly regarded. We are ideally seeking the following attributes and experience;
- Knowledge of best practice archiving requirements
- Database management including establishment of hierarchical structures
- IT and software skills relevant to managing digital files
- Experience with digitizing items
- Photography and videography skills highly desirable
- Excellent written communication including reports and descriptions
- Hands-on and flexible nature
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidentiality, ethics and professional standards are beyond reproach
- Strong customer service skills
- Relevant Certificates and Qualifications welcome but not essential
