Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our team as a Process Control Systems Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimisation of instrumentation and control systems across our plant. This role operates on a Monday to Friday roster and offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic and innovative workplace.

The key objectives of this role include:

* Designing and improving engineering solutions to optimise performance, prevent operational & production delays, and minimise lifecycle costs of the Process Control System, instrumentation, and related infrastructure.
* Reviewing and improving process control strategies.
* Performing PID tuning.
* Rationalising alarms.
* Updating and testing of control system software, firmware, and patches.
* Reporting on progress and results.
* Configuring and maintaining the Process Control System, instrumentation, and related infrastructure.
* Implementing changes according to established Management of Change processes.
* Configuring and commissioning VSDs, DOLs, Network switches, instrumentation, and other related equipment.
* Analysing assets (PCS components) and predicting maintenance requirements.
* Identifying and assessing risks using enterprise risk framework policies and procedures, developing and implementing risk mitigation plans.
* Staying up to date with control system developments.
* Assisting in the development of electrical technicians within the control and instrumentation environment.
