About the role
The Regional Research Governance Officer plays a pivotal role in the development, implementation and monitoring of processes related to research activities. Key responsibilities include:
* Governance and compliance of research processes;
* Development of policies and procedures;
* Promoting and supporting initiatives to enhance research capacity.
Main duties will involve:
* Overseeing governance aspects including ethical and practical considerations for all research studies;
* Providing guidance to researchers and commercial stakeholders on research processes;
* Fostering an ethical research culture and engaging in activities such as drug trials, research investigations, evaluations, research partnerships; research translation and evidence-based practice.
About you
You will possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as health, science or biomedical sciences, or demonstrated equivalent experience;
* Proven knowledge and experience in the governance of health research;
* Experience in facilitating the execution of research agreements;
* A current driver's licence.
