About the Role
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will work with individuals who may be living with an illness, disability, or injury. Our care is tailored to each person's needs and goals, providing psychological or physical supports to help them live life to its fullest potential.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Manage caseloads while having the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
* Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
* Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs for employers and employees;
* Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
* Work across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
* Assist those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
* Complete assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, ADL assessment, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry highly regarded;
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing or Social Work;
* General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC); or accredited with AASW;
* Excellent communication, compassion, time management skills;
* Current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance required.
