Our client, a global leader in SAP change management solutions, is seeking a Mid–Senior ABAP Developer to join their high-performing product engineering team.
This is a rare opportunity to work on a world‐class SAP software product, not just project‐based implementations. You'll play a key role in evolving a sophisticated legacy platform while contributing to its transition into modern, cloud‐based ABAP environments.
The Role
You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to both product enhancements and ongoing maintenance.
This includes:
* Developing and maintaining robust ABAP solutions
* Supporting and modernising a legacy codebase
* Contributing to the shift toward ABAP on HANA and cloud technologies
* Designing and building CDS views and OData services
* Collaborating closely with Product, QA, and Engineering teams
* (Senior level) Providing technical guidance and mentoring
* 5+ years ABAP development experience (mid to senior level)
* Strong skills in classical ABAP (reports, enhancements, debugging)
* Experience with ABAP on HANA (CDS views, OData)
* Solid software engineering fundamentals (OO design, clean code)
* Experience across both project delivery and BAU support
* Strong communication and collaborative mindset
Nice to Have
* RAP, SAP Fiori, or SAP BTP exposure
* SAP DevOps / transport tools experience
* Broader SAP module knowledge (FI/CO, SD, MM)
* Work on a globally used SAP product
* Be part of a technically strong, collaborative team (currently 4 developers)
* Opportunity to influence modernisation and architecture
* Hybrid role with strong in‐office collaboration
If you're passionate about building high‐quality SAP products and want to deepen your expertise in modern ABAP, this is a standout opportunity.
Interested candidates with full Australian working rights are encouraged to apply and join a growing, forward‐thinking team.
