Job Details
Omni is seeking expressions of interest from suitably skilled candidates to join a new and specialised Joint Mission Design Team. This team will include the development and collaborative design of mission threads and related artefacts with the Groups and Services; collaborative workshops/consultative meetings; compilation of artefacts for presentation to Senior Defence Committees; creation of artefacts supporting experimentation, test & evaluation of mission threads; and various other documents, artefacts, and materials required in the briefing, direction, and collaborative approach to implementing a mission engineering approach.
Deliverables anticipated to include:
* Development and documentation of Mission Engineering processes and guidance for Capability Managers
* Development of Digital Engineering practises to support mission engineering implementation across Defence
* Conduct workshops to gain stakeholder input into mission engineering processes and implementation
* Other tasks as requested by Director Joint Warfare Directorate.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in ADF doctrine, military operational planning, and Defence’s strategic context, with proven ability to contribute to the collaborative design of mission threads, artefacts, and processes. They will be adept at leading and participating in workshops, developing mission engineering and digital engineering practices, and preparing high-quality documentation and artefacts for senior Defence stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni.
* Be an Australian Citizen
* Hold and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance
Anticipated Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 15 years’ experience relevant to the following:
o application of ADF doctrine and military operational planning (essential)
o demonstrated understanding of Defence strategic and policy context (essential)
o involvement in capability development processes including systems engineering (desirable).
* Demonstrated ability to undertake analysis, apply critical thinking, and innovate on matters related to military and capability planning.
* Additional experience (beyond EC-1) and qualifications of the Key Persons offered to provide the Services.
* Costing estimates and pricing structure.
* Completeness of response and attention to detail.
