About the role
You will be responsible for the building and management of client relationships throughout Victoria.
Reporting to the Southern Region Sales Manager you will be responsible for the achievement of sales revenues, profitability targets, promotion of the brand and technical support in your area.
Responsibilities
• The development and successful sales of the product range via the reseller network to growers across multiple market segments including broad acre and horticulture
• Build relationships directly with growers and resellers and develop commercial sales opportunities
• Provide timely and accurate forecast information
• Demonstrated the ability to organise personnel work schedule
• Cooperate and consult with management, team members and internal departments
Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
• Demonstrated sales ability in the fertiliser or crop protection markets
• Existing local reseller / grower network
• A graduate degree in Agriculture or related discipline is preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a commercial sales environment, preferably in an Area Sales Manager role or similar.
• An understanding of plant nutrition (Horticulture or Broadacre) highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to build sustainable business relationships
• Excellent commercial and negotiating skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as a member of a team
