Senior Sous Chef | Queens Tavern | Let’s fire it up! The cornerstone of over 350 Australian communities, ALH owns and operates more pubs than anyone. A great local is made up of great people. And every great pub needs good grub. We’re looking for a Sous Chef who is truly sous-per. Supporting the Head Chef, you’ll use your collaborative skills to develop the kitchen team and increase operational efficiency. In this role, you’ll play an integral part in delivering pub experiences our locals love. If you’ve got enough passion to sprinkle onto every plate, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Running the pass and leading the crew when the heat is on
- Keeping food quality sharp, consistent, and on point in a busy kitchen
- Backing up the Head Chef with ordering, stock, and day-to-day ops
- Mentoring the up-and-comers and keeping the team vibe robust
- Helping drive creativity, efficiency, and good times in the kitchen
About You
- Proven chops as a Sous or Senior Sous in a high-volume, high-quality venue
- You know that the recipe for an exceptional guest experience contains the perfect mix of passion and productivity
- You are hungry to produce high quality dishes and have an entrepreneurial spirit
- Reliable, organised, and hungry for the next step in your career
