The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is seeking a thoughtful and strategic Grants and Relationships Coordinator to help grow and sustain our work through donor engagement, grants, and partnerships. Based in Darwin, this full-time, 12-month position plays a vital role in supporting MAGNT’s exhibitions, programs, and research through strong relationship-building and funding coordination.

About MAGNT
The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is the Northern Territory’s premier cultural organisation.
Our principal facility since 1981 is on Larrakia Land at Bullocky Point in Darwin, home to internationally renowned cultural and scientific collections and research and exhibition programs.
MAGNT also operates the historic Fannie Bay Gaol in Darwin, the Museum of Central Australia incorporating the Strehlow Research Centre in Alice Springs, Megafauna Central, and the Alcoota Fossil Bed site northeast of Alice Springs.
MAGNT also manages the historic Lyons Cottage on Darwin’s Esplanade and the Defence of Darwin Experience at East Point in Darwin.
MAGNT attracts over 300,000 visitors annually to our sites.

Selection Criteria
1. Tertiary qualifications in business, development and fundraising and/or familiarity with non-profit institutions and/or the cultural sector. *
2. Well-developed skills in positive customer relationship management and the ability to maintain productive working relationships across the arts and cultural and scientific sector, with community organisations and government agencies. *
3. Demonstrated proficiency in grant administration and management. *
4. Demonstrated experience in project management and the ability to be flexible and work in a busy environment with competing priorities. *
5. Highly developed communication and networking skills at the institutional, government, and community levels. *
6. Sound computer literacy and data management skills within a fundraising context. Experience with Salesforce and ETapestry an advantage. *
7. An ability to interact effectively with people from different cultures and a sound understanding of Work Health Safety (WHS) practices to ensure WHS system compliance. *
