Overview
Trading Support Engineer role open to candidates located in the APAC region. The position is part of Keyrock's Market Making Services engineering team, focusing on continuous improvement of trading infrastructure and system performance in a global fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support live trading systems across global crypto exchanges in real time
- Act as first responder for production issues, escalating to dev/quant teams when needed
- Investigate trading incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document findings
- Manage deployments to support new features, coin launches, and exchange integrations
- Manage exchange connectivity, APIs, and market data feeds to ensure stability
- Build tools and frameworks to reduce operational toil and improve engineering efficiency
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and engineers to optimise trading performance
- Maintain runbooks and support tools for incident response and recovery
- Contribute to postmortems and continuous improvement of reliability processes
- Ensure adherence to product, risk, compliance, and security guidelines
Background & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, shell scripting, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Python and/or scripting languages for automation
- Familiarity with trading systems, FIX / REST / WebSocket APIs, and market data feeds
- Exposure to Risk Management concepts in a Market Making setting is a bonus
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (latency, TCP / UDP, packet analysis)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Datadog, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch)
- Proficiency in cloud and containerised environments (EKS, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Knowledge of SQL for investigating trading and system data
Domain & Operational Skills
- Background in trading, crypto, or financial markets; familiarity with exchange operations
- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve production issues under pressure
- Strong incident management and postmortem analysis skills
- Comfort working with traders, quants, and engineers in a fast-paced environment
