Workfast is seeking Mechanical Fitters for an upcoming shutdown at Olympic Dam / Roxby Downs, SA.
*This shutdown is running from 02nd March - 11th March*
**Please allow 1-2 days either side of these dates for mobilisation and demobilisation**
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing shutdown work on one of Australia's largest mining operations, with strong potential for repeat shutdowns and continued site opportunities for the right candidates. You'll be joining an experienced team on a well-established site with consistent hours, strong safety standards, and long-term prospects for reliable performers.
What You Get
* $57.00 per hour, flat rate (Day Shift) $65.55 per hour, flat rate (Night Shift)
* Super paid on all hours
* 12-hour paid shifts

What You Need
* Full Australian working rights with no restrictions
* Australian Trade Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical (Fitting/Machining)
* White Card
* Confined Space Entry (within 5 years)
* Working at Heights (within 5 years)
* Ability to pass medical, drug & alcohol testing and police check
* Clean shaven for site access *Mandatory
What You'll Be Doing
* Mechanical fitting and machining works during shutdown
* Assisting with repairs and maintenance on site equipment
* Performing repetitive and physically demanding tasks
* Completing ad-hoc duties as directed by the site supervisor
