As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll sit at the same level as Engineering Managers – but instead of line management, you’ll play a pivotal role in technical strategy, system design, and hands-on coding. You’ll work across the platform, helping leadership anticipate scaling challenges, mentoring engineers, and ensuring technical excellence as the team grows. What you’ll do Drive architecture and system design decisions across the platform Stay hands-on with Golang (or similar), GraphQL, microservices, Protobuf/gRPC Anticipate challenges over the next 6, 12, 18 months and shape solutions Mentor engineers and help maintain a high technical bar Improve productivity, scalability, and developer experience at pace About you Strong software engineering background with long tenure in past roles (you’ve lived with the outcomes of your decisions) Experience scaling systems in a fast-growth environment You may currently be a: Senior Software Engineer ready to step into Staff-level influence Technical Lead or hands-on Engineering Manager looking for a leadership path without line management Staff or Principal Engineer seeking a high-growth HealthTech challenge Why this role is different Unlike traditional Staff Engineer roles tied to a single product, this position has visibility across the whole platform.
