We’re looking for an Application Engineer who thrives at the intersection of deep technical problem-solving and customer impact, supporting our Overhead Medium Voltage Switchgear (OMVS) portfolio including Fusesaver, Compact Recloser, Remote Control Units, software and cloud services.
This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role where you’ll work directly with customers, regional teams, R&D and our Yatala manufacturing facility, helping solve real-world challenges that keep power networks operating safely and reliably.
What you’ll do
* Be the technical expert customers rely on, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving complex OMVS issues
* Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions
* Deliver technical training and support Factory Acceptance Testing activities
* Partner closely with R&D, contributing to User Acceptance Testing and future product enhancements
* Support special design orders and continuous improvement initiatives
* Help shape smarter ways of working through digital, automation and AI-enabled solutions
What you’ll bring
* A degree in Electrical, Electronic, Communications or Mechatronic Engineering
* Experience with medium-voltage switchgear, protection or relays is highly regarded
* Knowledge of SCADA, DNP3 or similar communications protocols
* Strong analytical capability, calm under pressure, and confident engaging with customers
