About the Position
The Retail Manager plays a pivotal leadership role at our Red Rooster franchise in Camp Hill, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to drive efficiency, maintain top product quality, and ensure full compliance with policies and standards. This position is essential for leading the team, optimising service delivery, managing resources effectively, and contributing directly to business profitability and a positive customer experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the restaurant retail outlet to ensure efficiency, product quality, and compliance with company policies and standards.
* Recruit, train, supervise, and roster staff to maintain high levels of performance, productivity, and customer service.
* Coordinate daily activities between front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient service delivery and smooth operational workflow.
* Ensure an excellent customer experience by addressing customer enquiries and complaints and monitoring service quality.
* Manage stock levels, including ordering supplies and coordinating with suppliers to ensure product availability and minimise wastage.
* Monitor sales performance, budgets, and cost control measures to support business profitability and operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Implement promotional activities and local marketing initiatives to increase sales and customer engagement.
* Maintain records and prepare operational and sales reports for management review.
* Lead, motivate, and support staff to achieve business goals while maintaining a positive and productive workplace environment.
Requirements

* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a retail or hospitality management role.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff in a high-volume environment.
* Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities to handle enquiries, complaints, and ensure quality standards.
* Sound knowledge of inventory management, stock control, supplier coordination, and cost management practices.
* Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate teams and engage with customers and suppliers.
* Proficiency in monitoring sales performance, budgeting, and preparing operational reports.
* Ability to implement marketing initiatives and drive sales growth.
