As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities include:
Leading relevant curriculum areas or whole school programs to develop and implement a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.Coordinating and providing targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.Supporting teachers and staff to access departmental or external services, professional development, and support.Participating in decision-making processes and professional development to support school goals and planning.Implementing school-wide systems, including data systems for students with disabilities and data collection on students with disabilities.Embedding socially just practices in daily school life.Setting high standards for student and staff performance.Engaging in lifelong learning and professional development.Building partnerships with students, parents, community groups, and agencies.Being futures-oriented and strategic.Understanding legislation and policies impacting schooling, especially related to students and staff.Managing human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to meet goals.Interested?
