About the role
World Welding & Transport Services is seeking experienced MC Truck Drivers to join our team in Townsville, QLD. These are casual roles that will involve both local shift work and line haul driving duties with opportunities of a permanent/full time position for the right candidate/s. The successful candidates will play a vital role in our road transport operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods across our service area.
What you'll be doing
* Operate large commercial vehicles (MC class) to transport goods across local and long-distance routes
* Ensure the safe loading, unloading, and delivery of all cargo in a timely manner
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues
* Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, kilometres travelled, and deliveries made
* Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations and company policies
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the delivery process
What we're looking for
* A valid MC class driver's licence with a proven safe driving record
* At least 2 years' experience operating large commercial vehicles in a road transport environment
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Commitment to safety and a focus on continuous improvement
