Job Title: Transport Operations Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support our logistics management services team.
This role is responsible for assisting in the scheduling and planning of loads, ensuring efficient delivery and excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess strong personal initiative, ability to meet deadlines, and a strong work ethic with a "can-do" attitude. They will also have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide effective communication with external and internal customers
* Ensure designated freight is loaded, dispatched, and delivered within agreed timeframes
* Invoice reconciliation/data entry
* Dealer administration
* Optimise choice of routes for drivers
* Maintain fleet scheduled services
* Investigate all instances of service failure, identifying and investigating root causes
* Maintain accurate availability reports
* Ensure loads are planned to adhere to regulatory restraints/regulations
* Admin duties as required
Skills and Experience for Success:
* Experience in a similar role desirable, however not essential
* Ability to work effectively in a team within a fast-changing environment
* Developing a positive working relationship with stakeholders
* Eager to learn and develop
* Strong personal initiative
