Details: The Governance, Risk and Reporting Officer sit within Governance team and reports to the Assistant Director of Governance and Risk and the Assistant Director of Governance, Compliance and Reporting. The role is diverse and requires an individual who is flexible, a team player and possesses strong analytical and organisational skills. The role will also provide support more broadly across the Governance team.
This role is responsible for providing high level administrative support and management to Suburban Land Agency’s (SLA) people and strategic business objectives, particularly in relation to governance, risk, policy and reporting. The role requires the ability to remain agile to meet competing priorities, tight deadlines reporting requirements.
In addition to the above the position will be responsible for the delivery and management of the SLA’s Risk Management Framework, Risk Plans, Government and legislative reporting and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The role is required to meet work within relevant legislative frameworks such as the City Renewal Authority and Suburban Land Agency Act 2017, Financial Management Act 1996, Annual Reports (Government Agencies) Act 2004, Planning and Development ACT 2007 and the Information Privacy Act 2014.

Eligibility/Other requirements: We are looking for someone with experience and understanding in organisational policy development, risk management and government reporting with the ability to work in a small team in a fast paced work environment
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
