An exciting opportunity is available for a reliable and dedicated Groundsperson at our Buderim Gardens village.
Buderim Gardens is a place that feels truly alive, where unique homes sit within lush gardens and peaceful natural surroundings.
The diverse landscape offers its own unique charm, complemented by a vibrant community centre hosting a variety of activities and a welcoming, resident volunteer run café. With an active community of residents and an array of leisure facilities, there's something for everyone at Buderim Gardens.
In this role, you'll focus primarily on the general upkeep of our grounds and waste management, while also assisting with gardening and maintenance tasks.
Approximately 60% of your time will be dedicated to grounds care and waste collection and management and 40% to general gardening and maintenance.
Your Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment
* Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on tools and machinery
* Maintain outdoor spaces including carparks, footpaths and decking areas
* Inspect grounds for hazards and complete required repairs
* Remove rubbish and waste management
* Assist with general gardening and maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
About You
You will bring experience as a groundsperson, maintenance assistant/handyman, or a similar hands‐on role, along with the following:
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
* Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, apps)
* Understanding of machinery and tools used in grounds and maintenance work
* Current First Aid/CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to take initiative, work independently and contribute to a team
* Internal training and onsite inductions will be provided.
