Reporting to the Chief Economist, Asia Pacific, your responsibilities include:Developing and maintaining macroeconomic views for Australia.Writing regular outlooks and research notes using unique economic data.Supporting briefing documents for leadership and advisory boards.Creating content and presenting insights at forums and industry events.Collaborating with data scientists and consulting teams on data exploration and forecasting.Driving story creation for interactive presentations.Aligning economic insights with strategic and operational goals within the region.The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, experience in client engagement, and is innovative and proactive in driving economic initiatives in Australia.All About You Economist with MA+ in economics or related field and 5+ years of experience.Private sector experience covering the Australian economy and regional insights in Asia Pacific.Strong collaboration skills across teams.Experience with orthodox and experimental economic approaches.Ability to manage complex projects and timelines.Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Tableau, and analytical tools.Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving Mastercard assets, information, and networks carry inherent risks.
