The client, a large complex organisation within the utilities sector, are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to start asap.
Working closely with the Project Manager, the successful applicant will support the successful delivery of multiple minor works projects.
Roles and responsibilities:
* Capture and manage end-to-end business and functional requirements
* Develop user stories and test scenarios for UAT and Go-Live, ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
* Review supplier documentation and finalise business rules for BAU handover.
* Analyse current workflows and recommend improvements across people, process, data, and systems.
* Ensure quality and consistency of business analysis deliverables through peer review and adherence to standards.
* Support change activities including stakeholder engagement, training materials, and FAQs.
* Assist in SIT and UAT to validate business requirements and ensure readiness for deployment.
* Contribute to project initiation activities, including procurement planning and documentation for sole sourcing.
Skills and experience required:
* Demonstrated experience in delivering small to medium size digital initiatives, application changes, upgrades and user facing solutions (preferably within the Utilities sector).
* Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
* Proven end-to-end analyst experience across the full application lifecycle, including:
o Facilitating stakeholder workshops and managing change
o Working knowledge of ICT applications and digital delivery
o Exposure to technical documentation and systems analysis
* Experience supporting digital change initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
* Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and user story creation.
* Comfortable reviewing technical documentation and supporting BAU transition.
* Identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for streamlining and cost optimisation.
* Experience with UAT, SIT, and release coordination.
* Proficient in business analysis tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
* Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
* Comfort working in agile and cross-functional teams
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions
