We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Trial Coordinator to join our team in Alice Springs and support the ongoing establishment of the Clinical Trials Coordination Unit and implementation of the Australian Teletrial Program (ATP) in the NT.
NT Health Clinical Innovation and Research Unit (CIRU)
CIRU is the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders who wish to undertake research at an NT Health site. The unit hosts NT Health Research Governance Office (RGO) and Clinical Trials Coordination Unit while leading the implementation of multiple national clinical trials reform initiatives, including the ATP, the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework and the National One Stop Shop.
The ATP is an enabling infrastructure initiative that aims to bring clinical trials closer to home for patients in regional, rural and remote areas by building local capacity and capability to deliver clinical trials within their own communities.
The Role
As the Nurse Research Specialist, you'll apply your research expertise and project management skills to coordinate and deliver high-quality research activities. Your role will support all phases of the research process.
About you
To be successful, you will have:
Experience in coordinating clinical trials or demonstrate a strong understanding of the Australian clinical trials environment
Knowledge of research ethics and governance processes with genuine passion for improving access to clinical research in rural, regional and remote communities.
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of the social and cultural issues, influences and sensitivities that influence health care provision for individuals and groups.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proven capability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate and thorough records.
Training will be provided to support the successful candidate in developing the skills required for the role.
