Details: Are you ready to add your own professional flair, energy and leadership to a passionate HR Business Partnering team? This role is a rare opportunity within the Justice and Community Safety Directorate and will play a major role in leading and contributing to both the day-to-day HR initiatives of various business units and the long-term strategic vision of the Directorate's diverse workforce. The HR Business Partnering team is a fast paced and dynamic team who take a hands-on approach to tackling complex workplace challenges with their clients and stakeholders. The Director, HR Business Partner is responsible for the operational management of the HR Business Partnering service offering to JACS clients and stakeholders. The Business Partnering team is responsible for providing specific business focussed HR advice and support to clients and stakeholders. Additionally they build capacity within the team enabling a partnership with JACS leadership to deliver a proactive and collaborative approach to workplace and employment matters through a HR Business Partnering model.
Eligibility/Other Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
* Professional memberships relevant to HR would be an advantage and/or AHRI Professional Accreditation/ Practicing Certificate.
* To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
* If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
* This position does not require a pre-employment medical
* This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start and finish times.
