About the Role
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) supports the Royal Australian Air Force P‐8A Poseidon (P8) fleet. We work side by side with Commonwealth and industry partners, and we're looking to recruit for the role of P‐8A Program Manager, located in Adelaide. This key senior leadership role is responsible for effectively managing all aspects of the Program and contributing to the growth and strategic direction of the Sustainment Operations Business Unit.
Responsibilities
* Lead the execution of the P‐8A Program, including management of all program baselines in accordance with project management best practice, leading customer engagements and delivery of all required contract deliverables and documentation.
* Establish and develop effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate effectively with business leaders to facilitate access to resources, identify and mitigate risks and meet key program milestones and deliverables.
* Manage program financial performance: baseline, forecasts, approve expenditures and resource allocations within delegated authority.
* Provide strategic direction and hands‐on leadership to cross‐capability and functional teams (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul, Product Support, Engineering, Training, Quality, Safety, Security, Supply Chain, Finance and Contracts).
* Maintain and enhance a business culture that fosters employee engagement and the growth, development and retention of a skilled workforce.
* Act as a member of the Sustainment Operations Core Leadership Team.
Qualifications
* Ownership of significant and complex business execution, including:
o Deep knowledge of Defence processes and experience in or familiarity with industry business processes, functions, and interactions.
o Leadership of complex integration and delivery programs for Defence, ideally in the Aviation domain to ensure successful execution performance and meeting customer requirements.
o Delivering clear contract execution deliverables to the customer.
o High levels of liaison with senior customers, suppliers, Boeing and other stakeholders.
* Demonstrated experience leading teams in technical disciplines.
* Demonstrated commercial acumen, including experience in leading Sustainment Programs to ensure successful business outcomes.
* Tertiary qualifications in management, engineering, business or related discipline.
* Proven senior level experience in people management.
* Change management experience.
* Australian citizenship required to meet Defence security requirements.
